Who Wears These Humble Shoes?

Walking in Someone Else's Shoes

Every shoe has tongue,

They all have a sole.
And a story to be told.

No matter what they look like
Whether old or new,
They are all quite different
Every single shoe.

Take the time to learn
What they have to say.
A whole different person.
Will be revealed today.

He's lived a life we'll never know.
He's inspired one and all.
To try walk in this man's shoes.
We would surely fall.

He had a set of false teeth, which he carried in a fold of his loin cloth ("Loin cloth? Good Lord!"). He put them in his mouth only when he wanted to eat. After his meal, he took them out, washed them and put them back in his loin cloth again.
He spoke English with an Irish accent, for one of his first teachers was an Irishman. He was educated at London University and became an attorney. But the first time he attempted to make a speech in court, his knees trembled, and he was so frightened that he had to sit down in confusion and defeat. As a lawyer in London, he got nowhere at all. He waspractically a failure there.
However, despite this worldly success he was not happy. On seeing the untold misery of millions of his fellow countrymen; on seeing thousand of them dying of starvation; the worldly success seemed cheap and unimportant to him. He gave up all his money and ‘took the vow of poverty, and since that time, he consecrated his life to helping the poor and the downtrodden.
He experimented with diets to see how cheaply he could live and remain healthy. He started living principally on fruit and goats’ milk and olive oil. He had been greatly influenced by the teachings of an American by the name of David Thoreau.
He never visited the US, but he had many American fans and followers. One of his more unusual admirers was Henry Ford.
He inspired millions of people world over to take the path of non-violence and civil disobedience. Though inspiring 5 world leaders who got Noble Peace prize viz. Martin Luther King Jr. (USA), Dalai Lama (Tibet), Aung San Suu Kyi (Myanmar), Nelson Mandela (S. Africa) and Adolfo Perez Esquivel (Argentina), he never got a Noble Prize himself !

He's a man with quirky humor.
Remember Annie Hall?
On love and sex and death and life.
He's entertained us all.

He was born December 1, 1935 in Brooklyn, New York. As a young boy, he became intrigued with magic tricks and playing the clarinet, two hobbies that he continues to do today. He broke into show business at age 15 when he started writing jokes for a local paper, receiving $200 a week. He later moved on to write jokes for talk shows, but felt that his jokes were being wasted.Speaks French. Refuses to watch any of his movies once released.Suspended from New York University. He loves Venice, and helped to raise funds to rebuild the Venetian theater La Fenice, which was destroyed by a fire. Chosen by Empire magazine as one of the 100 Sexiest Stars in film history (#89) (1995).

Shoely You Know Her

Walking in Someone Else's Shoes

Every shoe has tongue,
Click here to see who's shoes.
They all have a sole.
Every shoe has a heart
And a story to be told.

No matter what they look like
Whether old or new,
They are all quite different
Every single shoe.

What they have to say.
A whole different person.
Will be revealed today.

She is really smart.
And a friend indeed.
Sometimes afraid of failure,
But will often take the lead.

She was born on 19 September 1979 and she was nearly twelve when she first attended private school.
She is an overachiever who excels academically, and is "very logical, upright and good".
Her parents are dentists and are a bit bemused by their odd daughter but very proud of her all the same.
She recalled being called a "little know-it-all" in her youth.
She has a lot of insecurity and a great fear of failure.
She has the ability to retain an encyclopaedic wealth of knowledge.

Her name is derived from William Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale.
Her parents liked to prove how clever they are...gave [her] an unusual name that no-one could pronounce. Her original last name was "Puckle".
She is an only child.

Can you guess who's shoes these are?
